ABOUT Company President Joseph Rotella received his Bachelor's degree in Music at Boston University in 1992. While in school, Mr. Rotella apprenticed with renowned Boston organ restorer Nelson Barden, in turn working on many fine Skinners and Aeolian-Skinners: famous Boston organs (Church of the Advent, Old South Church, Symphony Hall, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Mother Church-Extension); the Groton School Chapel; the Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco; Hill Auditorium, University of Michigan; and Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims, Brooklyn Heights. Spencer Organ Company was formed in 1995, and has since undertaken several major restoration projects. At the same time, the company has become a trustworthy resource for organbuilders wishing to outsource restoration work. |
