RESTORATION // Unit and Tubular Bass Chests
It is our preference to receive the entire chest, so that all elements can be restored at once. However, if you desire, we can re-leather only the interior components.
- Clean, re-shellac and re-gasket chest and bungs.
- New pouches, valves and springs. New block gaskets as necessary. Where blocks are nailed in, screws replace nails.
- New primary valves, valve wires, nuts and felts.
- All magnets taken apart and cleaned. Where necessary, new gaskets are applied and armatures releathered.
- Tubular-pneumatic actions can be converted to electro-pneumatic on special order.
