RESTORATION // Skinner and Aeolian-Skinner Whiffletree Swell Engines
- Disassembly and cleaning, exterior surfaces re-shellacked.
- All original hardware cleaned in a basket bead blaster and finished in a lacquer wash.
- New primary pouches, valves, springs, valve wires, nuts and felts.
- All magnets taken apart and cleaned. Where necessary, new gaskets are applied and armatures releathered or replaced.
- New gaskets applied.
- Pneumatics recovered in high-quality rubber cloth.
- New "witch-hat" seal(s) provided, replacing or restoring flange as deemed most appropriate.
- Linkages checked and de-rusted as necessary.
